A Theory of Conceptual Intelligence.jpg

A Theory of Conceptual Intelligence:

Thinking, Learning, Creativity, and Giftedness

Publisher - Praeger (1996)

This book proposes a new theory of intelligence. It outlines how evolutionary pressure favors the interaction between the symbolic world of language and the mental world, leading to the creation of concepts.

“A lucid discussion of attempts to measure and define intelligence, and a sophisticated and intriguing set of alternatives. A rich source of creative thinking about intelligence, learning, and creativity......”

--- Professor Kieran Egan

Faculty of Education, Simon Fraser University

“Dr. Li posits that thinking and learning are the two major components of intelligence, whose outcome depends not only on our brain but also on our cultural heritage. This is a new vintage point on the ontogenesis and development of intelligence......”

--- Professor Ying Zhu

Department of Psychology, Peking University

“...... this is an impressive effort, an ambitious and comprehensive theoretical approach to understanding human intelligence......”

--- Professor James Borland
